The Solus KH 17 is a favourite tyre made for the popular A & B segment passenger cars - or small cars such as the Chevrolet Spark, Ford Fiesta and Focus, Volkswagen's Polo and Golf. It is actually the OEM for vehicles in this class such as the Hyundai i10, i20, Kia Rio and the Spark and Cruze among others. The Solus KH17 is acclaimed for its superior handling combined with impressive wet traction and braking performance on all road surfaces. A non-directional tread pattern and new silica-based compound results in very low highway noise combined with remarkable cornering and braking stability. Innovative tread design with strategically placed longitudinal grooves reduces heat build-up while ensuring maximum steering response, reduced aquaplaning and improved braking performance in wet weather. The Kumho Solus KH17 has an 8-star quietness rating and offers a very high level of ride comfort.

This is the first replacement set on my Hyundai Accent since new....at 40,000km. The replacement set was the same brand and specification as the original tyres. One of the original tyres had a large spike in the tyre, so we decided to change the whole set although tread depth was still legal, around 3 mm. Despite changing early at 40,000km, tyre life was less than expected, therefore only 3 stars rating. All other ratings are in the good to excellent range. I'm a great fan of Kumho tyres for combination of cost and performance, having used the brand many times over the years.
